In my journey online, I’ve come across resources that help one think better. I’m sharing these resources here with the intention that these articles, blogs and transcripts spark a thought that will carry you on a wonderful journey about multi-disciplinary thinking.
Learning, Remembering & Thinking - This is a fantastic article on Metacongnition - Thinking about Thinking by Dr. John Denker. The article provides the guardrails on how does one go about acquiring first principles for high level thinking. Dr. John worked at AT&T Bell Labs where he held a number of positions. His research interests include computer security & neural networks - combining ideas from biology, physics, computer science, and statistics in order to devise new types of information processing systems.
The Multidisciplinary Approach to Thinking by Peter Kaufman. Peter Kaufman is the CEO of Glenair, Board Member of the Daily Journal Corporation, and Editor of Poor Charlie's Almanack. This is a transcript of a talk that Peter gave at Cal Poly Pomona in 2018. I’m literally drinking from the hose when i read this article - that’s the amount of wisdom shared by Peter in his talk.
